Gluv ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Camera and Photo Data

When you use Gluv to measure your hand size, the app accesses your device camera to capture an image of your hand. This image is sent to our server for AI-powered analysis to determine your hand measurements and recommended glove size. The image is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers after the analysis is complete.

Measurement Data

If you choose to create an account and save your measurement history, we store the following data associated with your account:

• Palm width (in centimetres)
• Finger length (in centimetres)
• Recommended glove size
• Confidence score of the measurement
• Date and time of the measurement

Account Information

If you choose to sign in using OAuth authentication, we receive and store basic profile information provided by the authentication provider, such as your name and email address.

Preferences

We store your selected Amazon region and language preference locally on your device. This data does not leave your device.

Amazon Affiliate Tag

If you enter an Amazon Associates affiliate tag in the app settings, this tag is stored in our database associated with your account and is appended to Amazon product links generated by the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• AI Analysis: Hand images are sent to our server's AI model for measurement analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not retained after analysis.
• Amazon Links: When you tap "View on Amazon," you are redirected to Amazon's website. Amazon's own privacy policy governs your interaction with their platform.
• Authentication Providers: If you sign in via OAuth, the authentication provider's privacy policy applies to the data they handle.

Data Storage and Security

Your measurement history and account data are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and secure authentication.

Local preferences (language and region) are stored on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Data Retention

• Hand images: Processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers.
• Measurement history: Retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual measurements or your entire account at any time.
• Local preferences: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored measurement data through the History tab
• Delete individual measurements from your history
• Delete your account and all associated data through the Settings screen
• Opt out of saving measurements by simply not creating an account — the app works fully without sign-in

Children's Privacy

Gluv is rated for all ages (4+ on iOS, Everyone on Android). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app can be used without creating an account, in which case no personal data is collected or stored.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
